A norwegian portuguese in Sweden

I was on a dogshow the other week, this was one of the few dogs that looked happy to be there. It is a portuguese breed and this fellow came from Norway, Podengo Portogueses Pequeno.

Lisa takes the funniest pictures of her dogs and she has been blogging almost as long as I have!

The Morran Book Project is of course still for sale over at Blurb, and I am yet posting pictures from the book on the blog.

Mr Mustache is a strong man

I got this postcards from Barbara, she writes that this might be the infamous great grand uncle of Mr Mustache. I think she is right. His name is Georg Jagendorfer and he used to wrestle with bears and lift the heaviest weights. She also writes that he built his own exercise machines, and that he invented an apparatus that exhaled the smell of forrest. Wouldn't that be great to have?

Through the Morran Book Project we have given more than 1000 US dollars to WSPA - World Society for the Protection of Animals (Sweden). A big applaud to us!!!
(us = buyers and contributors and people spreading the word about the Morran Book Project)The book will be available through Blurb for at least next Christmas.

I've never made my own candles. I've always wanted to and I've always wanted to make a rug like that too. I've even collected light stumps and made balls of fabric - years ago... but it never happened. Maybe it will now when I have these instruction in this great book. Thank you Julia!

Working is good, so - drum roll - the Morran book project is finished! The book is ready! And it looks fantastic if I might say it myself :) All profit will go to WSPA - World Society for the Protection of Animals - Sweden (WSPA international). The price for the book is US $34.95 for the softcover ($4 is going to WSPA and the rest is the price to Blurb for the book, they are printing and shipping it)

I've made it possible to see all pages - so if you are in the book, please take a closer look to see if your name is right and so on. I keep my fingers crossed I haven't forgot anyone...

Once again I'd like to say thank you to the jury that helped me to sort things out!

It started slowly in the beginning of the week. She wasn't as happy as usual to go on our walks. Just a small thing but noticable. Then she got fever and for everyday that went she become a little bit more ill. She was tired and was breathing very shallow, but I would say still in a good spirit. Had to bark at the postman and still wanted to play a little. The cancer in her lungs had grown much faster than expected. You know already what the next sentence is going to say so I will not write it...

I think I've answered all of your e-mails now! IF you haven't got an e-mail from me please let me know because that could mean I haven't received your picture.

So, a book with 160 it will be (and maybe one with 80 pages too).
You have sent me so many WONDERFUL Morran pictures I've decided I will include ALL pictures in the book. The jury will choose which ones that will be on a whole page (and in the 80 page book) and the rest will be on mosaic pages, like 4 or 9 on one page. I hope that sounds good.

There will be a jury. But there will also be a site where all pictures will be posted (with links to your website if you want to).

If your picture are choosen you will not get paid. You will not even get a free copy of the book. All profits will go to charity (more about that later on).

I got a surprise package from one of my favorite illustrator Beatrice Alemagna, well - Morran and I :) It contained her latest book (La gigantesque petite chose), great as always, with the sweetest dedication! it will be a wonderful book (how could it not when it contains Morran ;)

A picture of Morran could be what ever you want it to be, a painting, an illustration,
an embroidery, a photo, a cake, a sculpture, your own dog dressed up as Morran or
what ever you can think of - as long as you can send it to me by e-mail in the end.
You are all welcome.

First we have to decide the format so you know how big your picture has to be.

7x7 inches (18x18 cm)
Four-color printing
Starting at €10,95 ($15)
(41-80 pages, softcover - €15 / $20.64)

10x8 inches (25x20 cm)

These are the two formats I'm thinking of, which do you prefer. Cheaper or bigger?
This is the price without any profit(=charity) at all, and the cheapest of everything.
How much should we give to charity on each book? = how much can a book like this cost?

If we preorder we'll get a discount 5-9 books 5%, 10-49 books 10%, 50-249 books 15%

Morran illustration book?

Adolfo Serra gave me the idea to make a book full of Morran pictures made of people around the world. Lynn Louise Larson gave me the idea that the profit could go to a good cause (preferrable something that has to do with dogs).

So now I'm thinking that it might be a book, if there are enough people that are interested, made through a print on demand place on the web, like Blurb (or any other ideas?). We will just add a small amount on the printing cost to give to a good cause, no one else (except Blurb of course) will get any money - not even Morran ;-)

It's a way to promote your work and to donate at the same time.

I was also thinking that who ever feel like it can send their contribution, I can make a webpage to post every picture and links to your websites (or just an e-mail if you don't have any), but that there will be a selection made by a jury for the book.

What do you think? Any ideas or suggestions?
