I got the opportunity to visit these 6 weeks old pups so I did. No one beleived I could do it without one of the puppies beeing mine when I left. But I was hard as a rock ;) I just wanted to try it out, I wanted to know how I felt. They were very happy and so very cute, both the adults and the 6-week-olds. But I still just want Morran. I'll have to wait a bit longer. But I wouldn't mind borrow them for a day or two - all of them :)

ohhh ♥
how brave of you that you tried!
Best wishes!
Maybe you will be ready when they are 8 weeks old! It only takes a few minutes to fall in love again.
i agree with anonymous-when i lose a pet , i cry then tell myself it's time to make a special home for another animal that might not otherwise have a cool home. you will always miss your friend ,but you can share the love <3
p.s. you'll know when you're ready.....
It takes time. Only you will know when you are ready.
Hi Camilla - I started "dating" dogs and puppies a few months after Darby died in December. I hung out with some homeless people and held some of their puppies. I went to adoptions and our local shelter. I even had a home visit with one, but I couldn't "go all the way." I didn't want him to spend the night and shortly after he left, I couldn't even remember his face. Then a month ago it was like being shot out of a cannon. I saw my dog online and I just new he was my dog. He had a very terrible wound (it turned out there was a 6" stick inside him no one knew about), and a very traumatic experience caring for him. But there was no question he was mine. It is very strange and I didn't believe it could happen. I still miss Darby desperately. I think about him every day. But it is possible to mourn the first dog and love the second one.
3 words of advice:
1.) go at your own pace
2.) think of the exact traits you are looking for in a dog, even if they are different from the dog you had (this was hard for me because it felt disloyal)
3.) know that every dog you meet will bring you closer to your dog.
Here is the story of how I met my dog and how I helped him heal while he did the same for me.

Sending support for your journey.

Camilla I understand you want Morran. She was not only a dog, she is a soul. Nobody knows where is she now, but I feel she will reborn as a human after such happy life with you... And I think this is not a question about a new dog, it's about a friendship, and you will know when the time for a new soul in you life will come!
Love the first photo!
Best wishes, Camilla.
